The Isak-Muivah faction of the National Socialist Council of  Nagaland (NSCN-IM) on Tuesday has appealed to all its members and all God-loving people living in ‘Nagalim’ to hold a moment of ardent prayer in unison during Sunday worship service on August 26, 2018 for the people of Kerala, who are facing untold miseries owing to devastating rains and floods.

“We all must consider ourselves as if we are facing the same fate with the suffering people of Kerala,” the Council of Nagalim Churches, NSCN (IM), said in a release. It said the prayer for the people in miseries in a time of such severe calamity is a bounden duty of Christians who fear God and love the souls in disaster.

The outfit urged to pray for the consolation of the people who have lost their dear ones and who are rendered homeless, for proper resettlement of the affected people, for the rescue and relieve workers, for the rulers of Kerala and India to be able to tackle the crisis properly, for the possible outbreak of diseases after the flood and for the health of the medical workers .

The NSCN (IM) hoped “our prayers” for these misfortune people will be answered in due time by God.

“May God, for Jesus’ sake, be merciful to the people of Kerala,” it added.
