Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma also shared his heartfelt grief on Facebook:
โThis is beyond comprehension, utterly unexpected, and deeply saddening. I am struggling to find the right words to convey the devastating news that our beloved Zubeen Garg is no more. My heart is heavy as countless memories of his era flood my mind.
Zubeen, with his enchanting voice, touched the hearts of generations. He was adored by many, and his music broke all barriers, creating a legacy uniquely his own. It is hard to accept that such a beautiful voice is now silenced forever.
But Zubeen, your spirit and your music will live on in the hearts of all of us. Wherever you are, may you find peace, Zubeen.โ
Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi also mourned the loss, posting:
โShocked and deeply saddened by the passing of Assamโs beloved son and musical icon, Zubeen Garg. His music captured the spirit of Assam and inspired millions. This loss leaves a void in our cultural life. My condolences to his family, fans, and the people of Assam, who mourn one of their brightest stars.โ
