As part the 72nd Independence Day celebrations, the Kokrajhar district administration organised art and quiz competitions among the students from various schools at BPCM Babyland English Medium High School.
The art and quiz competitions held on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and India Freedom Movement respectively were inaugurated by the Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner, Niranjan Baruah in presence of Superintendent of Police Rajen Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs) Prafulla Chandra Barman, Debeswar Bora, Inspector of Schools Jagdish Prasad Brahma, DIPRO Gagan Narzary, teachers and students of various schools.
In the art competition, Jonali Daimary of Sister Margarett Nobel School, Mihika Nandi of BPCM Babyland English Medium High School and Therisa Baro of Sister Margarett Nobel School won the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.
While in the quiz competition, the group of four students of Kokrajhar Government HS & MP School bagged the 1st prize and Fakiragram HS School and BPCM Babyland English Medium High School secured 2nd and 3rd positions.
The winners will be awarded in the ceremonial programme of the Independence Day to be held on August 15, 2018 at Kokrajhar Government HS and MP School Playground.
