Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu’s advisor Sotai Kri would visit Bordumsa on Thursday to take stock of the ongoing crisis due to tussle among BJP leaders in Bordumsa-Diyun constituency in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Apart from discussing over various issues including Swacch Bharat Abhiyan and interactions with the public, NGOs and students’ community followed by a meeting with Government officials and agencies at the ADC conference hall, Kri would also review the ongoing development projects, informed an active BJP worker of Bordumsa.

Kri’s sudden visit to Bordumsa has been planned to strengthen and resolve the deadlock among the party leaders over party ticket for the next Assembly elections.

The media has already exposed the ongoing tussle among BJP leaders. It may be mentioned former Chief Minister and Congress leader Nabam Tuki recently organised a mammoth rally in Kharsang recently
which has become a cause of concern for the BJP in the entire Changlang district.

“What Kri’s visit to Bordumsa brings to both the leaders, party karykartas and for the people of Bordumsa having a harrowing time due to lack of development in infrastructure has been eagerly awaited,” said a local Singpho leader adding, “If the deadlock among the leaders and confusion among the common people continues to persist, the BJP would lose a vital seat in Bordumsa-Diyun.”

On the other hand, in a significant development in Arunachal politics centering round the merger of 7 PPA MLAs into NPP fold and its subsequent acceptances by the NPP State president Gicho Kabak via a letter (NPP/Ita/ 2018-2019 dated 16. 07. 2018), the apprehension in the saffron regarding candidature and seat division in the 2019 Assembly election was cleared by the party high command.

The State BJP decided and resolved during State office-bearers’ meeting on July 30, 2018 at the State capital,
Itanagar that there would not be any pre-poll or post-poll alliance with any other political or regional party in the next Assembly election.
