Guwahati: An unidentified dead body was recovered from a passenger train at the Guwahati Railway Station in Assam on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, the body was discovered by a passenger when he was boarding a train on platform 7 at the station.
He immediately informed the on-duty police officials about it.

The police on investigating the body found several injury marks on it suspecting a possible murder angle.
The deceased is still to be identified and the body has been sent to the hospital for postmortem.

Police said that the incident may also be a possible case of robbery or some sort of personal rivalry.
An investigation is being carried out regarding the incident.
