Guwahati: On Friday evening, a sub-inspector of the Assam Police was reportedly arrested in Guwahati for allegedly molesting a minor girl.
According to reports, the sub-inspector, identified as Abdul Hussain posted at the Chandmari Police Station in Guwahati was accused of molesting the minor when she came to file a complaint regarding some matter.

The cop was booked under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act under case number 266/24.
An investigation regarding the incident is being carried out.
However, further details regarding the case were not shared.

It was alleged that the police officer molested the victim inside the police station.
Senior officials have been tasked to investigate the case to ensure that no loopholes are found in the case.
