Guwahati: An Assam Police team apprehended a suspected person from the Jalukbari area in Guwahati following the recent bomb scare at a mall.

The accused has been identified as Pawan Dorji.

It has been reported that the accused had links with a banned militant outfit.

However, the police have not made any official statement so far.

He was apprehended by a police team based on specific inputs.

The arrest followed a bomb threat at City Centre Mall, which led to a temporary closure and evacuation of the premises.

Reports stated that during interrogation, he revealed the presence of another person.

The arrests come amid a series of bomb threats in Assam, including a scare at City Centre Mall, which prompted an urgent evacuation and search operation by security forces.

However, no suspicious items were found in the mall, and the threat was deemed a hoax.
