IMPHAL: Manipur police conducted an operation in Thoubal district, targeting insurgents’ hideouts, where they seized nine bulletproof vests, including six bulletproof plates (Iron).

Acting on intelligence, a team from Thoubal police station raided an area in Gehu Lampak near Lilong police station, recovering six bulletproof plates (Iron) and three bulletproof jackets, valued at approximately Rs 2 lakhs in regional markets.

Additionally, operations around Oinam Sawombung village led to the recovery of two helmets, a radio set (AVOFENG), a stun hand grenade, ammunition, and other weapons.

Further search and area domination efforts in Moirangpat Kachin near Apple Farm, Kakching District, resulted in the discovery of two hand grenades and a small arm with a magazine, all handed over to the relevant authorities for legal action.
