Guwahati: A 32-year-old housewife was found dead under suspicious circumstances in her residence in Manipur’s Senapati district on Sunday.
The police have detained the woman’s husband for questioning.
According to the police, Mina Chetri was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her room on Sunday.
The incident occurred at her husband Gopi Chetri’s residence in Kabung Karong village.
The body of the deceased has been sent to the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Science Hospital Imphal for autopsy.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of death.
The husband is being detained for interrogation to ascertain the details behind the woman’s death.
