To create awareness on environmental issues, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday morning walked to his office at Secretariat Building from his official residence in Shillong.
Sangma on the way to office interacted school children of local schools who participated in a programme held to celebrate World Environment Day.
“Walked from home to office to celebrate World Environment Day. It should be our agenda to reduce our carbon footprints. Our actions today will define the future for our children,” Sangma tweeted.

Manipur consumer affairs, food and public distribution minister Karam Shyam in November last year rode bicycle to his office to create awareness on conservation of fuel.
