Holi is all set to be celebrated on March 8, 2023 and preparations for this festival of colours have already began in full swing

While the market is full of colours that are full of harmful chemicals which is likely to cause harm to your skin and hair, you can still celebrate Holi enjoyably by making your own colours at home

Popular food blogger Shreya Joshi has recently shared how you can make some of your own gulaal or colours at home with ingredients from the kitchen-

Pink Colour

Blend some beetroot cubes with water. Take half cup of cornflour or talcum powder in a bowl along with 1 tsp of rose water and add the beetroot juice in it. Mix well and let it dry

Green Colour

Blend some spinach with water. Take half cup of cornflour or talcum powder in a bowl along with 1 tsp of rose water and add the spinach juice in it. Mix well and let it dry

Yellow Colour

Mix 3 tbsp of turmeric powder with water in a bowl. Take half cup of cornflour or talcum powder in a bowl along with 1 tsp of rose water and add the turmeric water in it. Mix well and let it dry

Blue Colour

Take 10 pieces of butterfly pea flower in a bowl, add water and let it rest for 10 minutes. Take half cup of cornflour or talcum powder in a bowl along with 1 tsp of rose water and add the butterfly pea juice in it. Mix well and let it dry
