Actor Jacqueline Fernandez on Wednesday appeared before the ED in New Delhi for a fresh round of interrogation in a money-laundering investigation involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar and others.
As per reports, the agency will record the statement of the 36-year-old actor under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), officials said.
Jacqueline was grilled by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) earlier at least twice in this case during which she was also confronted with Chandrashekhar.
The agency suspects she is a “beneficiary” of the proceeds of crime allegedly generated by Chandrashekhar after coning and extorting money from some high-profile people.
The agency last week also filed a charge sheet before a special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court here and named Chandrashekhar, his wife and six others.
Jacqueline was on Sunday stopped at the Mumbai Airport by immigration officials due to a LOC (Look Out Circular).
