MLA from Pasighat West constituency in Arunachal Pradesh – Ninong Ering has clarified that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China is not recruiting youths from Arunachal Pradesh.
He said that reports of China’s PLA trying to recruit youths from Arunachal Pradesh are “false and baseless”.
Ninong Ering said: “Report of recruitment of youth as released by certain media website in #ArunachalPradesh by Chinese PLA is false and baseless. I was shocked to read the report and hence cautioned the Govt of such nefarious #Chinese designs.”
“Arunachali youth fiercely patriotic and stand firmly with the nation. Arunachal Pradesh is integral part of India. It is clear now that PLA recruiting from Southern Tibet and not from Arunachal Pradesh,” Ering further added.

Notably, Ninong Ering himself, earlier this month, had claimed that China is trying to recruit youths from Arunachal Pradesh in the PLA.
“As per the information we have received so far, the Chinese PLA is trying to recruit youths from Tibet as well as Arunachal. It is a matter of grave concern and Union defence ministry and home should take it seriously,” Ering had said.
