Dimapur police in Nagaland has arrested four persons, including two NSCN-IM cadres, in connection with abduction and illegal detention of a woman. 

The arrested persons have been identified as Semato Shohe (35) and Ahuka Yeptho (36), two NSCN-IM functionaries: Sunjemtoshi Aier (42) and Supong Ao (46), police said on Tuesday.

The arrests were made on different dates following a complaint lodged by the victim that she was illegally detained by unknown people for four days in an unknown location.  

During investigation, it was ascertained that the issue originated from the victim’s inability to pay back a loan amounting to several lakhs of rupees to a local credit society.  

A case has been registered in East police station in Dimapur, Nagaland.

In another incident, Dimapur police arrested an NSCN-IM cadre Mugha Khulu (37) from ISBT area in Purana Bazaar, for illegal possession of a country-made .32 pistol.  

A case has been registered in East police station in Dimapur, police said.
