Assam reported 15 more Covid19 deaths and 1,621 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Confirming the news, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Wednesday evening said the new cases were confirmed out of 1,47,175 tests.
The chief minister informed that the state’s overall positivity percentage on Wednesday stood 1.10%.
Of the new cases, the Kamrup Metro reported 188.
On Wednesday, hundreds of people, who were earlier infected by Covid19, recovered from the deadly disease.
The state’s recovery rate on the day was 96.22%, chief minister Sarma informed.

On Tuesday, Assam registered 22 Covid19 deaths and 1,796 positive cases.
Kamrup Metro district reported 226 positive cases on Tuesday.
While the state’s overall positivity percentage was 1.13% on Tuesday, the recovery rate was 96.16%.
On Wednesday, India’s cumulative Covid19 vaccination coverage exceeded 42.34 crore.
India’s recovery rate stood at 97.36% on Wednesday.
A total of 35,342 new positive cases were reported in India in the last 24 hours.
India’s active caseload (4,05,513) presently constitutes 1.30% of the total cases.
The country’s daily positivity rate (2.12%) remains less than 3% for the 32 consecutive days.
