The Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday has apprehended two persons along with one hand made revolver and three crude bombs from a village along the India-Bangladesh border in Assam’s Dhubri district. 

Acting on a tip-off, a team of BSF, along with personnel of local police conducted an operation at the houses of Saddam Ali (19) and Soheb Ali (30) at Kaimbhasani village under Dhubri Sadar Police Station on Sunday.

BSF recovered a country made revolver from the possession of Saddam Ali, while three country made bombs were recovered from the house of Soheb Ali. 

The arrested persons have been handed over to the Dhubri Police Station for further investigation.

BSF sources revealed that the arrested duo is suspected of being involved in cattle smuggling and other nefarious activities.
