Nagaland’s total Covid19 death toll increased to 234 with 10 more people succumbing to the infection in the last 24 hours.

Nagaland reported 326 Covid19 positive cases on Thursday, health and family welfare minister S Pangnyu Phom said in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 situation.

Phom said among the new cases, 161 were detected in Dimapur, 100 in Kohima, 16 in Tuensang, 14 in Zunheboto, 12 each in Mokokchung and Mon, seven in Phek, two in Wokha and one each in Longleng and Peren.

A total of 218 positive people – 118 in Dimapur, 78 in Kohima, 15 in Mokokchung, three in Longleng and two each in Peren and Zunheboto – recovered in the last 24 hours.

As of Thursday, the state’s total caseload stood at 19,284.

Nagaland currently has 4,519 active Covid19 cases.

Altogether 13,924 people recovered from the infection in the state so far while 596 people migrated.

The NHM Nagaland tweeted that equipments for UNDP supported 150 LPM Oxygen Generation Plant in Phek and Tuensang district reached on Thursday.

The Nagaland government appreciate the continued support extended by development partner UNDP in the health sector, especially in the fight against COVID19.
