Manipur’s COVID-19 situation grim: 16 more die, 677 new cases detected

Manipur’s COVID-19 situation continues to be grim as the State on Sunday logged as many as 16 deaths relating to the deadly disease.    

With these 16 new COVID-19 deaths, Manipur’s COVID-19 death tally currently stands at 578.   

On the other hand, Manipur registered over 670 new COVID-19 cases.    

As many as 677 new COVID-19 cases have emerged in Manipur.

Of these 677 new cases, 336 are male and 329 are female.     

Meanwhile, 12 cases have been detected from among the Central Armed Paramilitary Forces deployed in the State. 

With the detection of these 677 new COVID-19 cases, Manipur’s active cases tally has jumped to 6477.   

Of the total 6477 active COVID-19 cases in Manipur, 6302 are from the general public and 175 are from the Central Armed Paramilitary Forces deployed in the State.

Meanwhile, the total COVID–19 cases in Manipur have also risen to 39729. 

As many as 399 persons have also recovered from COVID-19.       

Manipur’s COVID-19 recovery rate has further dropped to 82.24%
