Bodo seems to have taken the public sentiment for granted, which is already turning against the ruling BJP led state government for its abject failure to address serious problems like repealing the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and unemployment in Assam.

Thousands of youths in Assam lost their jobs during the Covid-19 induced lockdown and the state government did nothing in helping them to secure some form of employment.

The UPPL and BPF are campaigning hard in the Kokrajhar district to woo voters.

BPF is contesting in 12  legislative assembly constituencies under the Congress-led grand alliance.

Pramod Boro while addressing an election rally at Bhotgaon under the Kokrajhar East constituency for party candidate Lawrence Islary said, “UPPL will defeat the BPF candidates in all the constituencies.”

BPF president Hagrama Mohilary campaigning for East Kokrajhar constituency candidate Pramila Rani Brahma said that his party is getting massive support cutting across the communities in the Bodo Territorial Region.

He said that the Congress-led grand alliance will win over 20 seats in the first phase and accordingly form the state government.

He also expressed his hope that BPF will win in all 12 contesting constituencies across the Bodo Territorial Region.
