Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma on the occasion of โ€œWorld Water Dayโ€ on Monday appealed to the people to save water.

Although Meghalayaโ€™s Mawsynram can boost of being the wettest place in the world, there are many places in the state that have no access to clean potable water.

Sangma asked the people to make a conscious effort to save every drop of water.
