Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma on the occasion of โWorld Water Dayโ on Monday appealed to the people to save water.
Although Meghalayaโs Mawsynram can boost of being the wettest place in the world, there are many places in the state that have no access to clean potable water.

Sangma asked the people to make a conscious effort to save every drop of water.
โWorld Water Dayโ is celebrated across the globe every year to highlight the need for sustainable management of resources of freshwater.

The theme for the day this year is โvaluing waterโ, which lays emphasis on the need to save water as millions of people around the globe do not have access to safe potable water even today.
