The Nagaland government had so far allowed only a few people to enter religious places like temples, churches, mosques, etc at a time to enable them to maintain social distance while offering prayers.

This was being done to prevent the transmission of the novel coronavirus in public places during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
“Although people have been allowed to visit places of worship, it is mandatory for them to wear face masks and maintain social distance. They have to adhere to Covid-appropriate behavior,” said a senior official of the state government.
