The Dhubri district administration in Assam has banned the wearing of combat dress /combat like dress by the non-authorised persons.
Deba Kumar Kalita, District Magistrate of Dhubri district, has issued the aforesaid promulgated order in exercise of power conferred upon him under Section 144 of the code of Criminal Procedure-1973 for immediate prevention of danger to human live property and public peace and tranquillity.
Apart of that, the Dhubri district administration has also imposed few other restrictions across the district including assembly of 5 (five) or more persons in any public places.
Organizing any kind of rally, procession, meeting, demonstration (without the prior permission of District Magistrate), carrying of any lethal weapon or firearms, ‘Mashaals‘ and other dangerous arms and ammunition have also been banned.

The order further said that road blockades, demonstrations, picketing, wall writing, burning of effigies and tyres as well as forceful collections of donations from any vehicles, individual or business establishments have also been restricted throughout the district.
However, this order shall not apply in case of law enforcing agencies.
This order shall stay in force until further orders.
