Dhiraj Narayan Nath, former student leader of Darrang district

Dhiraj Narayan Nath, a former student leader from Assam’s Darrang district,  passed away in Guwahati on Sunday.

The 44-year-old former student leader turned entrepreneur hailed from Sipajhar in Darrang.

He died after a prolonged illness.

He was the son of the former principal of Sipajhar College, Revan Ch Nath.

Nath was the former general secretary of the B Barooah College Students Union and former vice president of the postgraduate students union of Guwahati University.

He was helped in organizing the annual Sipajhar session of the Asom Sahitya Sabha.

He is survived by his mother, wife and son.

His untimely demise has been condoled by several organizations, including the B Barooah College Hostel Alumni, Darrang Zila Sahitya Sabha, Mangaldai media circle and Sipajhar Press Guild.
