Arunachal Pradesh recorded 38 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, out of which 23 are central paramilitary force (CPMF) personnel and five are symptomatic.
East Kameng district registered 11 new cases, out of which nine are from the CPMF and two are truck drivers.
Three cases each from West Siang and Tirap districts are CPMF personnel.
Two positive cases reported from Anjaw district are also from the CPMF.
It may be further informed that East Siang reported three cases among the CPMF, while a truck driver and his handyman tested positive.
In Lower Siang, a shopkeeper and three truck drivers tested positive for COVID-19.
Three persons tested positive at the Banderdewa check gate in the Itanagar capital region (ICR), while one tested positive at the Gumto check gate in Papum Pare.
Meanwhile, another COVID-19 case in Papum Pare is from the CPMF.
In Tawang, a returnee from Ladakh and a truck driver tested positive for COVID-19.
In Namsai, two returnees from Delhi and Assam tested positive for the infection.
The lone case reported from Upper Siang also was a returnee from Bihar.
On the other hand, a total of 52 patients were discharged from hospitals across the state on Sunday, including 25 in East Siang, 17 in the ICR, six in West Siang, and four in Namsai.
Moreover, 301 antigen tests conducted in ICR.
