The employees of the Shillong Municipal Board will undergo COVID19 test on Saturday to prevent the spread of the virus.
Sources said all the employees and workers of the Board have been isolated in different places as they are waiting to get themselves tested on Saturday.
Arrangements are being made for carrying out the test at Polo.
However, it was not clear whether some of the Board’s employees have been suspected to be COVID19 positive that warranted all the employees to get themselves tested.
Moreover, it was not known yet, whether the test would be conducted by using the Antigen Testing Kit or TrueNAT, before going for RT-PCR test COVID-19 positive confirmation.
Meghalaya urban affairs minister Hamletson Dohling, who also looks after municipal affairs, said preparations were on, but he was waiting for the detailed information on this initiative.
