Tripura on Friday registered 141 fresh cases of COVID-19 positive.

State chief minister Biplab Deb informed through his social media handles that on Friday, swab tests were conducted on 2125 people.

Among them, 141 people tested COVID-19 positive.

Among these 35 are from West district, one from North district, 10 from Gomti district, 63 from Khowai district, six from South district, 15 from Dhalai district and 11 from Sepahijala.

One of the victims is a doctor.

She is from Agartala.

This is by far the second-largest number in a single day.

Earlier, on June 4, 151 people were found COVID-19 positive in a single day in the State.

In all, the number of coronavirus infected people in the State is now 1931.

Spot antigen detection test has started from Friday.

A Train from Delhi came to Agartala with passengers on Friday afternoon.

Its passengers were tested in this manner.

Antigen detection test has also started in the containment zone of Udaipur.

A new containment zone was also opened in Agartala town on Friday.
