The Udalguri chapter of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Thursday observed the 72nd foundation day as National Students’ Day at Assam’s Udalguri town on Thursday.
However, the celebration was conducted maintaining all the social distancing norms of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The programme initiated with ABVP flag hoisting by president of Udalguri chapter, Milan Bhattarai.
Senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad member of Udalguri district, Barumal Agarwal, lighted the earthen lamp.
The district In-charge of the students’ organization Maihursha Boro explained the purpose of the day.
The brief programme was also attended by state executive of the ABVP, Jayanta Kumar Nath, as special invited guest among others.
