Tripura registered 93 COVID-19 positive cases in a single day on Friday.
The total number of COVID-19 victims in the State now stands at 1535.
It is now the second most affected State in the Northeast.
Assam has the highest number of victims in the region.
Of the 93 people found on Friday, 49 flew to Tripura from outside.
There are 26 other passengers who have returned to the State.
Ten people have been infected after coming close contact with positive patients.
Coronavirus symptoms were found in four people.
Of these 93, 24 are from Dhalai district, 15 from Gomti, 16 from West district, 13 from North Tripura district, 11 from Sepahijla, 9 from Khowai, 2 from Unkoti and 2 from South Tripura.
A total of 1325 people were tested on Friday.
This was informed by chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb.
On June 1, the number of coronavirus cases in Tripura rose to 108 in one day.
On June 4, the number increased to 151 in one day.
