AIUDF supremo Badruddin Ajmal on Tuesday announced an economic package of Rs 10 lakhs for the affected people of Baghjan fire in Assam’s Tinsukia.

Announcing this in Guwahati on Tuesday, Ajmal said around 3,000 women will be provided clothes like mekhela chador and saree while the around 300 men will receive shirts and pants.

Ajmal said apart from this, one-time aid of Rs 50,000 will be given to the family members of the two fire fighters who had lost their lives in the fire.

Ajmal said the distribution of relief is starting from Tuesday itself.

The AIUDF chief also said his party leaders have been taking stock of the damages over the last three days.

Ajmal also said, the party general secretary along with a delegation of legislators, have already gone to Baghjan on Monday.
