Tripura registered 45 new COVID19 positive cases on Saturday evening, taking the state’s overall tally to 1,081.

Confirming the news, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb in a tweet at 9.20 pm on Saturday said a total of 1,860 samples were tested for COVID19, out of which 45 were found positive for the virus.

The chief minister informed that out of the total positive cases, 44 are from Sepahijala district and
one case is from the West Tripura district.

“Alert~ Out of 1860 samples tested for #COVID19, more 45 people found #POSITIVE in Tripura today. All of them have travel history. The count includes: Sepahijala District: 44. West District: 01,” chief minister Deb tweeted.

On Saturday morning, Tripura reported 27 more COVID19 cases.

On Saturday, a total of 82 persons have tested positive for COVID19 in the state so far.

Meanwhile, a total of 37 COVID19 patients have been discharged from hospitals after their recovery.

Sharing the good news on his Twitter handle at 9.29 pm on Saturday, the chief minister said the patients were discharged after they tested negative.

“Glad to share that 37 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from Hospital today after their test results came NEGATIVE,” the chief minister tweeted.

“I express my sincere gratitude to all Medical staffs & frontline warriors who are working tirelessly. I pray for the speedy recovery of other patients,” he added.
