Manipur health minister L Jayantakumar on Sunday visited the COVID-19 quarantine centres located at different places of Imphal West and Imphal East districts.

He also distributed PPEs, sanitizer, N-95 masks and gloves to the health workers at the quarantine centres.

Later, he also interacted with the health officials stationed at the respective quarantine centres and discussed the feedback from them.

Expressing that there may be a lack of an inadequate number of health workers and support staffs at the quarantine centres, Jayantkumar appealed the present health workers and staffs to cooperate for the time being.

There are over 700 quarantine centres across Manipur and some of the centres in the hill districts of the state were monitored by the village authorities.
