At a time when the number of COVID19 positive cases is on the rise in Assam, health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared a good news.
Assam health minister Sarma tweeted in the evening on Saturday that 38 more COVID19 patients have been discharged from five hospitals across the state.
The patients have been discharged after they tested negative for COVID19 twice, said Sarma.
Sarma informed that while 14 COVID19 patients have been discharged from Silchar Medical College Hospital (SMCH), 11 patients have been discharged from Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital at Panbazar in Guwahati and 8 patients were discharged from Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College (FAAMC) hospital in Barpeta.
He also informed that 3 COVID19 patients have been discharged from Jorhat Medical College Hospital (JMCH) and 2 other patients have been discharged from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
With the release of 38 patients from the hospitals, the total number of discharged cases in Assam has increased to 163 and the number of active COVID19 cases stands at 930.
Assam has so far registered a total of 1,100 COVID19 positive cases.
The disease has claimed the lives of 4 persons in Assam while 3 cases migrated.
