The Mizoram government has issued standard operating procedure (SOP) to be followed by stranded state residents, who are arriving at the state’s lone Lengpui airport.
Lengpui airport is reopening from Monday after it has been closed for two months with the suspension of domestic flight by the Centre on March 24.
According to the SOP, all stranded people, who are returning by flight, will have to intimate their air tickets to resident commissioner or deputy commissioners of Mizoram houses at cities where they are stranded.
In the states where Mizoram House does not exist, such details should be reported through nearest Mizo Welfare Association.
