Bangladesh’s cricket development coach Ashiqur Rahman has tested positive for COVID19.
Mohammed Jalal Yunus, head of media committee of Bangladesh Cricket Board said Rahman has been found positive for COVID19.
Ashiqur Rahman, a former first-class cricketer is undergoing treatment at Mugda Hospital in Dhaka.
The 33-year-old retired cricketer also served as an assistant coach with the Bangladesh women’s team.
According to reports, Rahman was admitted in hospital after he tested positive. He had complained of breathlessness, and has been found to have acute chest congestion because of COVID19 attack.
Rahman, a former pace bowler himself revealed that he has tested positive for COVID19.
He had the test report on Monday. Initially, he had problem with swollen tonsils.
After the swollen tonsils, Rahman had fever, and started to have chest pain and breathlessness.
Rahman was a member of Bangladesh’s U-19 World Cup 2002 squad.
