Over 500 children, parents, teachers and headmasters from 15 government schools adopted by IndiGo on Tuesday participated the Academic Mela & Stakeholders Felicitation programme.
Under the IndiGo school adoption programme, the SRF Foundation organized the event for the 15 adopted government schools of Lahowal block in Dibrugarh at Chawalkhowa LP School playground.
SRF Foundation under the support of IndiGo airlines in collaboration with the department of education has initiated its IndiGo School Adoption & GetSmart (a mobile digital bus) Programme in Lahowal block through adopting the 15 government schools.
The programme was participated by additional deputy commissioner of Dibrugarh, Nandita Baurah as the chief guest.
The event, which was attended by Rituparna Borah, MLA, Lahowal, as the guest of honour, was also attended by district officials of the education department.
Under the IndiGo School Adoption Programme, the Academic Mela & Stakeholders Felicitation was organised to further motivate and enhance on sharing of innovative ideas, best practices and ensuring sustainable teaching learning practices of the schools.
The event was organised to create a platform where school, community, students, teachers and government officials can come together and learn through cross doors best practices and innovations from each other and drive the initiative of learning & recognition towards next-level.
The event was attracted by various teaching learning materials, science models, crafts and various creativity & innovations through demonstrations of 18 stalls by the 15 government schools and the education department.
All the stakeholders were felicitated and awarded through more than 10 categories like Best students, Best School Management Committees, Best Schools, Best Parents, Best Community Members, Best Village Heads, Best Stalls, Winners in various competition like drawing, slogan writing, quiz, essay writing among the 15 government schools & villages.
