After the end of the voting for Delhi Assembly elections on Saturday, the exit poll results predict a comfortable majority for Arvind Kejriwal-led Aaam Aadmi Party (AAP).
Exit polls have unanimously predicted the return of the AAP government in Delhi for the third term with most of them projecting 50-55 seats for the party in the 70-member Assembly.
However, the BJP, with its polarising campaign, will be able to improve its tally compared to its performance in the 2015 polls.
In 2015, the AAP managed to win 67 out of 70 seats while BJP was restricted to only 3 seats and the Congress failed to open its card.
As per the NDTV exit poll results, the AAP will win 50 of 70 seats in Delhi, BJP will win 19 seats and Congress will be restricted to 1 seat.
The Republic TV-Jan Ki Baat AAP prediction says the AAP will win 48-61 seats; BJP 9-21 seats and Congress will get 0-1 seat.
The ABP-CVoter exit poll result says AAP will win 49-63 seats, BJP 5-19 seats and Congress will be able to win 0-4 seats.
Times Now-IPSOS has revised its earlier projection and now predicts 47 seats for AAP; 23 seats for the BJP and none for the Congress.
According to the India News Nation exit poll results, AAP will win 55 seats; BJP 14 and Congress will win 1 seat.
News X-Polstrat predicts 50-56 seats for AAP; 10-14 seats for BJP and none for Congress.
The parties need a total of 36 seats to come to power in the 70-member Delhi Assembly.
The AAP, Congress, and BJP are locked in a tri-party battle.
The BJP, which secured all the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi during the 2019 Lok Sabha, hopes to make a comeback after 20 years.
As per media reports, Delhi registered 57.06% voter turnout after 7 pm. However, the voting percentage is likely to increase as per reports.
The counting of votes will take place on February 11.
