With just a few days left for the Assembly election in Delhi, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday said the BJP will form the next government in Delhi.

“BJP will form the government. People have seen that in the last five years, Arvind Kejriwal and his party has done nothing for the people of Delhi and its development,” said Sonowal.

Assam CM is one of the star campaigners for the party ahead of the coming Delhi Assembly elections.

He also interacted with the people from Northeast living in Delhi.

Sonowal tweeted: “Interacted with members of the #NorthEastern community in New Delhi. The fastpaced growth journey of the region is the talk among all present in the meeting. Glad to know that the voters from the community stands firmly with the BJP.”

Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb are also among other start campaigners for the BJP for February 8 elections.

All the three chief ministers from the Northeast on Tuesday campaigned across the national capital for the party candidates.

“Arvind Kejriwal is against development. It’s only BJP which can bring overall development in the national capital,” said Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb.

He further compared Kejriwal with the communists.

“Arvind Kejriwal is a true copy of communists who do not believe in development,” said Deb.

BJP has roped in all the three chief ministers to campaign for the party candidates as Delhi is home to more than three lakh people from the northeastern states.

Talking to Northeast Now, union minister for sports and youth affairs Kiren Rijiju said, “The people of Delhi have witnessed the misrule of both Congress and Aaam Aadmi Party (AAP).”

“Right now BJP is the only option for the people of Delhi,” said Rijiju.
