The results of the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2019 are expected to be declared by the last week of December.
One needs to go the website ssa.assam.gov.in to check the results.
Candidates who qualify for TET will be recruited as teachers for the lower primary and upper primary classes in various government schools across the State.
To qualify for TET, a candidate is required to score 90 marks out of 150.
However, the cut off for this year is expected to be somewhere in between 120 to 125 marks.
Moreover, there will be a relaxation of five per cent in the cut-off marks for the candidates of SC/ST (Hills)/ST (Plain)/OBC/MOBC/PWD (PH) categories.
Nearly four lakh candidates appeared for the TET examination in Assam on November 10 last.
The examination was held in 33 districts of the State.
This is the first TET examination that had been held in the State after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came to power.
It was held after a gap of seven years.
The last time TET examination was held in 2012 during the erstwhile Congress government.
At present there are 17,292 posts are lying vacant across the State.
Among these, 10,137 are in the lower primary level and 7,155 posts are lying vacant in the upper primary level.
