The NSCN (IM) on Wednesday expressed happiness after church organisations in Nagaland are praying for the peaceful outcome of the Indo-Naga political talks.
Another round of talks between the Centre and NSCN (IM) will be held in New Delhi on Thursday.

The NSCN (IM) in a statement said the two core issues of Naga national flag and constitution have to do with “God-given Naga nationhood”.
“It is for this very reason that no Naga stays immune from these pending issues as it matters our identity and pride,” it said.
The last two rounds of formal talks between the Centre and the NSCN-IM ended in deadlock over the Naga flag and constitution with both sides sticking to their position over the two issues.

While the Centre reportedly ruled out granting Naga flag and constitution, the NSCN-IM said the Indo-Naga political solution without the two will remain inconclusive and will create a room for future headache.
The NSCN-IM fully acknowledged and appreciated the approach of the church organisations in giving utmost importance to unity and reconciliation among Naga political organisations.
It admitted that this is certainly the will of the Naga people at this decisive moment of history.
“Let us continue to pray earnestly to open the way for the will of God to prevail upon the hearts of all Nagas in general and political groups in particular.
“The people of Nagalim for Christ must learn to exercise humility to find acceptance in the sight of God,” the outfit said.
It said the Naga people’s fasting and prayer must not end up in vain in this turning point of their political struggle.
The Council of Nagalim Churches observed a day of fasting and prayer on October 23 for protection of the identity, history and political rights of the Nagas.
