Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Hagrama Mohilary on Monday inaugurated the newly-built RCC office building of the deputy registrar, Cooperative Societies, Chirang at Kajalgaon.

The new office building will now give enough spaces and better atmosphere to the officers and staff in rendering services for the public, BTC chief Mohilary said during the inauguration ceremony.

The building was constructed by the PWD (Roads and Building), Chirang at a cost of Rs 215.57 lakhs under SOPD for the 2016-17.

The RCC building of ground floor only has provislon of rooms for DPRS room, account section, issue & receipt branch, general branch, grade-IV room, establishment room, computer, two store rooms, kitchen, wash rooms including brick boundary wall with iron gate, earth filling and approach road.

Later, BTC chief Mohilary inspected  the rooms and facilities of the new building.

He was accompanied by Jagadish Sarkar, executive member, Cooperative Societies, BTC secretary Bhabanipur Prasad Sarma, Karmadev Brahma, ADC, Chirang, BTC deputy secretary Kuldeep Basumatary, CHD of Cooperative Societies department Vinod Prasad Agarwala and a host of other dignitaries.

Meanwhile, the BTC chief Hagarma Mohilary also inaugurated the Balajan Samabai samathy newly constructed building and Rabindra Nagar office cum library at Santinagar in Kokrajhar district.
