The office of the Nagaland governor has invited applications from young graduates from diverse backgrounds and disciplines for the Governor’s Young Fellowship Programme.

A release issued by the PRO to the state governor RN Ravi on Monday said the applicants should be committed to addressing some of the most pressing developmental challenges facing Nagaland.

They should also be responsible, enthusiastic and enterprising young men and women, who are passionate about issues of development, public service and technology.

The Governor’s Young Fellowship Programme will provide analytical and technical support in the formulation of policies to further the governor’s vision and development priorities for Nagaland.

It is also designed to cultivate young leaders, strengthen their understanding of the public administration and prepare them for greater leadership roles in future.

It will provide the young fellows the unique opportunity to interact with eminent government officials and knowledge institutions, besides engaging with leaders from the industry, art, literature and journalism to make the fellowship a rare and valuable experience.

Applicants must be citizens of India and should either hold a masters degree in economics/public policy/mass communications or an outstanding bachelor’s degree in engineering and associated fields.

They should also have at least one year of work experience. Remuneration of Rs 50,000 to each selected young fellow will be paid per month. They will be stationed in Kohima.
