In a bid to prevent electrical related accidents, ONGC Assam Asset headquartered at Nazira in Assam’s Sivasagar district organised a first ever national workshop.
The workshop was held on ‘General Awareness of Electrical Safety in Northeast’ at ONGC Officers Club, Sivasagar on Tuesday.
The workshop was held under the aegis of Central Electricity Authority (CEA).
Om Veer Singh, GGM (officiating asset manager) exhorted the gathering to strictly adhere to standard operating procedures to avoid electrical related accidents on duty and at home.
“Keeping updated of the latest innovations in the safety field has become paramount for all industries,” Singh added.
Sharing the experiences of ONGC, Singh underlined that ONGC has a robust architecture of safety for conducting its operations and the company adheres to the norms laid out by the statutory authorities.
Later, he complimented the CEA for collaborating with ONGC and disseminating the latest know-how on various regulations and safety technologies.
