Imphal: Two unidentified men on a motorbike fired shots into a hotel room at Lamphel Sanakeithel, Imphal West in Manipur, injuring a man on Sunday night.
The incident occurred around 9 pm at a hotel under the jurisdiction of Lamphel police station.

A 33-year-old man, Thounaojam Pari from Nambol Kabowaching, Bishnupur district, sustained injuries to his chest from shattered glass caused by the gunfire.
He was rushed to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal for treatment.

The assailants fled the scene on their motorbike after firing two rounds into the room.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the motive remains under investigation by Lamphel police.
