LONDON: British King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer.

This development has been confirmed by the Buckingham Palace in a statement.

King Charles has postponed public-facing duties, the Buckingham Palace informed.

King Charles spent three nights in the hospital last month.

He underwent a corrective procedure for an enlarged prostate.

It was then that tests had identified a form of cancer on King Charles III.

“…diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer,” the Buckingham Palace said.

“His Majesty has commenced a schedule of regular treatments,” it adds.

The statement further said that doctors have advised The King to “postpone public-facing duties”.

However, “His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork”.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has wished for a speedy recovery for King Charles.

He said, “Wishing His Majesty a full and speedy recovery.”

Indian PM Narendra Modi also wished “speedy recovery and good health” to King Charles.

“…wishing speedy recovery and good health to His Majesty King Charles III,” PM Modi said.
