Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa recently announced that the state government is in the process of declaring Urpad Beel as a conservation reserve / wildlife sanctuary
“Spreading over 500+ hectares, Urpad Beel is a stunning, must see wetland,” Sarma wrote in a post on X.
“We are in the process to declare this a conservation reserve/wildlife sanctuary,” he added
