SmartBall, world's first microchipped cricket ball

The SmartBall has been developed by Kookaburra along with SportCor

The embedded chip enables real-time feedback related to the game

The ball is expected to change the way people coach, play, officiate and experience cricket

The ball looks like a regular one but it collects and communicates instant statistical data on the game

It can collect data on revolutions, and speed from its embedded microlight chip

The chip inside the core transmits information from the ball back to a mobile app

It can currently measure the speed and revolutions of the ball at different stages of its journey from the hand of a bowler

The ball is currently in testing but might soon be seen on regular matches
