The 16 year old armless archer was born on January 10, 2007 in Kishtwar district of Jammu & Kashmir

She was born with a rare medical condition called phocomelia which makes her the first and the only international para-archery champion without upper limbs

One of her most significant achievements of her career includes winning three gold medals in the Women’s Individual Compound Team and Mixed Team category in the 4th Para Asian Games at Hangazhou in China in 2023

She also bagged one silver medal in the women’s double compound category in the 4th Para Asian Games at Hangazhou in China in 2023

Sheetal also won one silver medal in the women’s individual compound category in the World Para Archery Championship held at Plisen in Czech Republic in 2023
