Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma recently opened up about how he overcame frustration after losing World Cup 2023

Mumbai Indians, in a post on X, shared a video which shows Sharma revealing how he tried to heal after having worked so hard and finally losing out at the last moment in the final match

“I had no idea how to come back from this. First few days , I didn’t know what to do. My family and friends kept me going, and kept things pretty light around me, which was quite helpful,” Sharma said in the video

“It was not easy to digest, but life moves on and you have to move on in life. But honestly, it was tough and it was not so easy to move on,” he added

“I have always grown up watching 50-over World Cup. To me that was the ultimate prize. We have worked all these years for that World Cup. And It's disappointing if you don't get through it, you don't get what you want. You get disappointed. You get frustrated as well," he added

He also revealed that it was very hard to get back to normal after the final so he decided to go somewhere and get his mind out of the negative feelings

“But then there were people coming up to me appreciating everyone’s effort and how well we have played,” he said

While most netizens encouraged and appreciated Sharma for their brilliant performance on the cricket field, some trolled for ‘begging for sympathy’ as well as ‘begging for captaincy’

“PR se captaincy mil jaati bhai Worldcup nhi Ab pr se sympathy lene ka try krra,” one wrote

“India under Rohit Sharma: lost T20 World Cup, lost WTC final, lost ODI World Cup , lost Asia Cup,” another added
