After the historic inauguration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, PM Modi will now inaugurate the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Hindu temple nestled in the Abu Mureikhah area on February 14

BAPS is is a socio-spiritual Hindusect which is recognized for its devotion to Bhagwan Swaminarayan considering him as an incarnation of Lord Krishna

The temple has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 700 crore in a 27 acre plot of land donated by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

The 108 feet tall temple been made of 40,000 cubic metres of marble, including Italian marble, 180,000 cubic metres of sandstone, and over 1.8 million bricks

PM Modi was extended an invitation for inauguration by the members of the temple in December last year

Modi had earlier said that the temple will reflect the ideal of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – an ideal spiritual space, not merely rooted in beliefs and traditions, but a confluence of diverse cultures and civilizations

The ‘Festival of Harmony’ will also include the grand inauguration ceremony of the Mandir on Wednesday the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
