Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is on a day long visit to Uttarakhand begun his visit to the state by performing  darshan  and pooja at Parvati Kund in Pithoragarh district

Modi, who shared pictures of his visit to Parvati Kund, can be seen offering prayers by wearing a traditional tribal outfit complete with a turban and 'ranga' (upper body garment)

He performed an ‘aarti’ and blew the conch shell at the Shiva-Parvati temple situated along the banks of Parvati Kund in Jolingkong.

The Prime Minister also sat in meditation briefly with folded hands in front of the Adi Kailash peak.

“I am overwhelmed with the worship at the holy Parvati Kund of Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand. My mind is also happy by getting a  darshan of Adi Kailash from here,” Modi wrote in a post on X

“From this place of spirituality and culture nestled in the lap of nature, I wished a happy life for all people of the country who are like family members to me,” he added

Modi also interacted with the Indian Army, ITBP and BRO personnel at Parvati Kund and Gunji

Sharing pictures of his interaction with the armed forces, Modi wrote on X, “At Parvati Kund and Gunji, interacted with the dedicated personnel of the Army, BRO and ITBP”

“Their unwavering service in challenging conditions is truly commendable. Their spirit and dedication inspires the entire nation,” he added

After doing worship at Parvati Kund, the Prime Minister reached Gunji village where he was warmly welcomed by the local people

He also visited the famous Jageshwar Dham in Almora district and offered prayers.
